ANNOUNCEMENT APRIL 15, 2020: FAPO FOOD DISTRIBUTION CONTINUES WITH SUPPORT OF UNITED WAY CENTRAL NEW BRUNSWICK COMPASSION FUND

We are happy to announce that thanks to the financial support of United Way Central New Brunswick's Compassion Fund, FAPO is able to continue with its weekly food distribution on Wednesdays from 10 am to 1 pm during the COVID 19 State of Emergency.

The support of the United Way's Compassion Fund could not have come at a better time for FAPO as we do not receive any municipal, provincial or federal government support. We rely solely on the sale of recycled donated goods through the Yard Sale Store to keep the lights on. Like everyone else hit hard by the pandemic, we were very very worried.

When the government of New Brunswick declared a state of emergency on March 19, FAPO was left with no source of income to pay our bills. So the support of the United Way at this important time makes it possible for us to keep providing services - albeit limited to food distribution - to our constituency in Fredericton at a time when they need us most.

We are open on Wednesdays from 10 am to 1 pm for food distribution at the Yard Sale Store, 242 Gibson Street. There is no means test and no one will be turned away.  Social distancing rules apply. For your safety and ours, please be prepared to wear a face mask and gloves when you stand in line and / or enter the building.
